Fourth Dispatch: It's Not What You Think. Voice.

Dear Fellow Residents of Luceti,

Wouldn't it be entertaining to put on some Games here in Luceti? Not that the Cultural Fair wasn't amusing, or any of the other activities going on here -- but true gladiatorial games. The pitting of one creature against another! Think of the thrill and drama and the release that goes along with that sort of entertainment! And here in Luceti we are ideally suited for a very exciting Games indeed.

Who would you sponsor or volunteer for this entertainment? Or would it all be...

[There is a pause here.]

Pokey-mans? I find human beings MUCH more interesting to watch, personally.

You're welcome! [She's not exactly sure why she deserves thanks, but she'll take it.]

The coliseum is pretty popular in my world, ya know. Most of the time, the combatants fight monsters, but when they're good enough they get to face off against each other. It draws crowds from all over!

Aye! Most people can't stand monsters, so watching them get beaten to a pulp by humans makes for a good show! Too bad we don't have any of those here in Luceti...

Hey, maybe we can use the Battle Dome!

[But don't the poor monsters ever win?]

The Battle Dome is a good possibility, especially for Gamemaking purposes. I've seen combat there; it looks as though almost anything is possible in the programming.

[Sometimes. But people prefer not to talk about those gruesome moments.]

I think just about anything is possible! What sort of things do you usually put in these games? Do combatants get to bring their own weapons?

Huh, really? So... Hand to hand combat? That could be fun too, ya know.

[Her mind's still on arena fights.]

But the people here might be skilled, ya know. You can always ask 'm. [She's seen people here fight in all sorts of different ways, after all.]

It's not really my thing, though. I use pistols. ...Not too handy in arena games, because it doesn't make for much of a fair fight. I shoot someone and they'll be seriously wounded, ya know.

Pistols should DEFINITELY not be allowed! [Because really? Not sporting at all!] Everyone appears to be against serious wounding, so we should leave all pistols at home for whatever these games turn out to be.

Aye, I agree! Anyway, you'll announce these games when you've planned all the details, right? I want in!
