[Sometime midmorning or so, Effie Trinket finds herself surrounded by droids in the front garden.

[She grins in satisfaction and goes willingly, soon finding herself marching through the village with a phalanx of droids escorting her along.There is a million-dollar smile on her face the whole way. Finally, her hard work and image have paid off in Luceti. Finally, the Malnosso Organization is giving her a place. It's good to be back in a skyrocketing career arc.]


*** Feel free to have characters speak to Effie on her way out. The droids are taking her at a leisurely pace due to those high heels, and the chaperone is going with them more than willingly. This is her big break, you see. Her main chance. I am having her kidnapped because I am going on hiatus from Aug. 2 - Aug. 12 or so. I'll continue tagging her current stuff but nothing new after this. PROBABLY won't be around at all during that hiatus period. XOXOXOXOX SAZZY ****

[Jade definitely knows better than to try any such funny business. He's content to observe the droids as keenly as he can from his distance. And of course, he sees she seems to be laboring under a delusion. He keeps a light tone and a smirk, with his hands in his pockets, as he addresses her.]

Oh my. Is that so? [Jade himself may have been seeking a position in the Organization. But however it was that a promotion occurred, this definitely didn't seem to be the case.] I'll have to congratulate you. Did you receive any details about said promotion?

[trinkett]

Not yet. But my understanding is that all information is on a need-to-know basis.

[And soon she will know more than ANYONE here. Poor saps.]

But thank you. For the congratulations, I mean.

Don't think anything of it. [He waves off her thanks and makes an empty shrug.] Be sure to put in a good word for me with the higher-ups. [He definitely doesn't believe this is what she says it is, but he likes to play along.] What type of station are you hoping for?

Yes, yes, of course! [Absently.] Mostly I am hoping they put me somewhere with a good future. But I would take anything in public relations or marketing or even diplomacy.

Such enviable jobs. Who knows? They may even find a place for you amongst the military.

[She blanches at that, but keeps bravely marching on.] Who knows? But probably not.
