Jack gave this a little thought. This would complicate things with Addie. Would he have to give up Addie? She was younger and hotter than Effie. She wasn't all about relationships and was pretty loose. Effie was reliable, though. She needed and wanted him more than sexually and while that was disconcerting, it was definitely a factor. Besides, even now as he watched her in the ocean looking all peaceful, he did find he liked her beyond just the fantastic sex. He had meant it when he offered to punch Sharpe for her. He'd been angry when people bad mouthed her on the journals.

But then as he was trying to sort out this odd sensation of deciding if he really cared about her, he suddenly had a realization. Something that would be an absolute conclusion to this hideous affair or Clementine and that one armed loser. A full apartment would mean there was no place for him. Ever.

"What about Clementine?"
